Welcome!
The Iron Valley cultural park, in the area of Park Dora, is dedicated to the industrial Turin, mover of the economic development of our country between 1800 and 1900. Once iron and steel and manufacturing location, it was then abandoned and today it has been transformed into a urban park, in this area some thematic itineraries dedicated to the knowledge of the industrial history of the city are installed.
Iron Valley tells the historical stratifications of the area through four paths: the geographical and historical context, the era of steel and iron, the following deindustrialization and the contemporary challenge of the regeneration. The paths are available through a dual system equipped with material (totem) and immaterial (web site and app) exhibitions. Iron Valley is a project by Public History that suggests to promote the active involvement of citizens in the creation of new contents and new stories about the history of industry, the history of work and about the memories of this place.
